About Us

The Rugby Club is a collective of rugby people who all share the same goal to grow the game and improve the lives of fellow people through the values and ethos of the game of rugby.

Our mission is simple: To take the values of camaraderie, sportsmanship, community, hard work and humility that form the backbone of this great game, and use our network of people, clubs, schools, unions, brands, retailers, professionals, supporters and technology to ensure that our societies and communities can thrive. We seek to represent and champion the cause and methodology of the “Pay-It-Forward” approach to supporting those around us. Our club is made up of two pillars within this context:
1. The Non-Profit Club
2. The Commercial Division
Each of the above pillars is founded on the same principles that underpin the values of; camaraderie, sportsmanship, community, hard work and humility.

The Non-Profit Club known as The Rugby Club (est. 1823) is made up of members who join the club through an annual membership subscription and receive various club related benefits in lieu of their annual fees to be part of The Rugby Club. The commercial division of The Rugby Club (The Rugby Club Pty. Ltd.) has been established as the commercial division of the entity with a specific mandate to generate profit and also develop various business ventures within the framework of The Rugby Club that can yield a return on investment via prospective products, services, partnerships, investments and commercial drivers.

The Rugby Club (both the non-profit club and the commercial division), are equally committed to the methodology and framework that upholds the ethos responsible for the concepts and intellectual property within The Rugby Club as a collective entity. These two arms of The Rugby Club, along with the current and future IP developed, will together form the basis to ensure the following structures of The Rugby Club can grow and offer value:
